I was in a meeting today with development education faculty and they were discussing the use of IP as a grade
(IP means "In Progress" and is used for a student who has started a developmental class midway through a term, but has not completed the course by the end of term). It was such a hard discussion for me to follow because everytime they said "IP," my mind had to work extra hard to translate that as a grade and not as "Internet Protocol."
Being a sometimes-Linux tinkerer and automotive junkie, RPM is one of my favs in this category.
